I adopted her from a shelter about 6 months ago and I love her dearly - she's very affectionate and loves to play. But she's super clingy, to the point where it's actually disruptive and distracting me from work and (online) classes. She meows so much. It's constant. I was on the phone with my supervisor recently and she was yowling so loud that I had to go to the bedroom and close the door just to muffle the sound. She keeps clawing at my leg in an attempt to get me to pet her while I'm on zoom with my professors and cohort. I can't even close the bathroom door without her throwing a tantrum outside the door but I'm tired of her constantly rubbing on me while I'm sitting on the toilet.
I took her to the vet and had some bloodwork done to see if there's something wrong. Nothing. I keep her food bowl full and change the water in her cat fountain daily. I clean her litter box daily. I have a yard and she goes outside at least twice a day to explore. So I don't think it's because she's hungry/thirsty/feeling dirty/bored. I don't know what to do. Any advice?
