Hi, I adopted a cat last week that I think the home did not look after at all, they told me he was just a shy cat but on bringing him home and getting closer to him he looks; a lot older than they said, he has an ingrown claw, he does not groom at all, he doesn't drink water and he doesn't want to eat more than one pouch a day. He's been getting worse with socialising and somehow managed to find a way under the kitchen cabinets, he's been under there for 36 hours and I believe he might be quite ill/sick. We had a vet appointment that I had to cancel because I can't reach him and he won't come out, he came out at some point in the night to eat a bowl of food I left and then must have gone straight back in because he was there again this morning. I'm not sure what to do as everyone keeps saying to wait it out and he'll come out himself but I can't even reach to get him out? What would you advise me do? What if he's getting sicker and won't come out ever again??
