“Doesn’t like dogs” is going a bit too far, she’s doesn’t want to deal with the loads of responsibilities that come with having a dog and here’s why...
We tried getting a dog years ago (when I was in 4th grade) and we had to give it back to the adoption center after two weeks because it was a lot of work for my mom. She already had two kids to take care of and multiple jobs to work so adding a dog on top of it wasn’t really best idea. She got it because my brother and I were constantly nagging her and making her feel guilty about it (like the idiot kids we were). We are now in our early twenties (pls don’t make fun of us haha,in our culture, you are supposed to stay with your parents until you get married) and feel as though we are responsible enough to bring another life into our home. My mother is open to the idea of a pet but is still hesitant because of what she had to deal with the last time. So I’m asking you guys what should we get or think about getting?
I love cats but they are out of the question due to my brothers cat allergies aggressively rolls eyes and dogs are something she’s open to but it has to be small because we are working with limited space. We aren’t picky in what pet we would like so you can suggest anything. Thanks in advance!
