I'm going to sand and paint over the scratches, but I want him to completely stop doing this before I fix it. It isn't chronic, it seems to be situational. A little backround, Ash is very attached to me. He is very attention hungry even with all the cuddling and playing I, my bf and his sister Boo provide for him. I will leave to do laundry or have a toke outside and I can hear him crying from our shed, I'm worried this might be when he's scratching the door. He's got a cat tree and scratching posts, we put one near the door to encourage its use, but he still sometimes goes for the door. Anyone else has had this issue? What worked for you? Edit: to clarify, I can hear him when I'm in the shed. No vice versa. It's not far, but enough to be impressed by his vocal chords.
