experienced cat owner, first time new yorker. i love my fire escape dearly and before getting my three month old kitten i would open the window up constantly. i keep my plants there and have a blanket to sit on as well.
ive been keeping the window closed completely or propped up slightly because of the kitten’s presence. she doesn’t seem to be able to physically jump onto the window ledge / isn’t interested. if it were an option i’d like to keep the window open without risking my kitten’s safety. does anyone know of any solutions ? if not i’ll continue to keep the window closed.
