My cat, Baby, has been peeing directly outside of the litter box for as long as I’ve known her. I got her from a neglectful owner who accidentally gave her a kidney infection, which we went to the vet for immediately and she got treated. This was about six months ago. Ever since, she has either gotten a little bit of pee outside of the litter box or full-on peed directly outside of the litter box. I have tried multiple different litter box sizes and styles, tried multiple different litters and nothing changes it. Currently, she’s in an extra large litter box with a lid. We recently moved and her litter box has to be in my bathroom, and when I wake up in the morning (she only pees outside the litter box at night, throughout the day she pees completely in the litter box) there is pee all throughout the bathroom, so it’s pretty bothersome. Any solutions or is this something that she will likely do permanently due to previous kidney issues? Any help is greatly appreciated!
