I am planning to adopt an adult cat. Some of my family members are allergic to cats and dislike inside cats because they think they're dirty. I live alone in an apartment, so I feel like it's my decision, but I don't want to create hard feelings, either.
I clean weekly and plan to clean biweekly once I get a cat (and plan to scoop the litter box 2x per day), so I think I can overcome the objection of dirtiness.
The allergies are a different issue. Does anyone have tips for reducing allergic reactions in visitors? Family comes by maybe once a month for a few hours. I got a rinseless shampoo that had good reviews for reducing allergic reactions, and I've considered an air filter. Are there other things that will help?
