So we already have 2 indoor cats, but there's also an alley cat that we feed.
The alley cat was pregnant so we let her give birth in our house and we helped raise her 4 kittens. They're 2 months old now so we put them up for adoption on a website (btw in my country there's no such thing as shelters where you can let them have the kittens and handle future adoptions, so we had to do it ourselves and find them owners).
Barely anyone called, we became worried that nobody will want them, and we cant really afford to keep them.
Eventually, there was a guy who called because he has a pet piton and wanted to feed the kittens to it (WTF! can't believe this earth).. We said no obviously. Then another caller suspiciously wanted all 4 of them, we thought that he also has a sinister motive so we blocked him.
But eventually a mom/dad with a 4 year old kid wanted 2 of them. They said at first they're gonna keep them inside but they're gonna also let them outside. Then she (the mom) called and wanted all 4 of them, cause she's gonna give the other 2 to a friend of hers who also has a young kid.
We agreed and they took them today, but I'm so sad... What if they're not gonna be fed/cared for properly? I mean they seemed nice but, you never know. These were the sweetest kittens I've ever had (my 2 cats were antisocial feral aholes lol), since they grew up right with us they're socialized and very friendly.
Many people in my country just get kittens and keep them while they're "young and cute" and then get bored of them, so they get rid of them. I'm so scared for these kittens y'all.. Also kids are rough with small animals, so maybe we should have waited for more calls but like i said barely anyone called us. The mom reassured us they will take good care of them tho.
Did we do the right thing?
