Did not raise from when she was a kitten, not sure how old she is, but going to guess maybe 5-6 years old. My partner found her as a stray, and he only had one or two incidents with her in the 7 months he had her before we moved in together. We have tried having two litterboxes, a handful of different litters, plenty of Nature's Miracle, giving her more love and attention, light discipline when caught in the act, moving her litter box. She always uses her box to pee and intermittently uses her box to defecate, but at least once a day will poop outside the box. We are at our wit's end. She went two months max without an incident and then started again. It has been almost three years of this, and got worse when we got a dog. He is very friendly and has learned to leave her alone, but she abhors him and will hiss at him if he just looks at her. She has a whole walk-in closet to herself and plenty of room between her food and water bowls, and her bin is always kept clean and is now kept in an enclosed box to separate the space. The vet told us it was probably just behavioral, in which case, I don't know if we can keep her, but we are trying to do everything we can to try to fix this.
