What breeds are big and calm?

What are appropriate breeds?

Hello, I’m looking into getting myself a dog after 2 years of not owning one.

I’m wondering what breeds are good for my restrictions.

Currently I live in a house with a nice size yard but I will be moving into an apartment in 1-2 years meaning it needs to be a calmer breed but it’s puppy stage will be okay.

I will be able to walk the dog about once a day for 30 minutes and it can play in the yard until I move into an apartment.

Looking at the end goal, a calmer, LARGE, but affordable dog.

I’m not interested in small dogs but I also can’t be spending too much on food (not anything too big)

What breeds are best for my situation and wants?
