My cat has had megacolon for a year and a half. For about a year I tried every diet under the sun. He will not eat anything that isn't dry cat food. And I mean it. Nothing. From raw to fancy wet food to cheap wet food. He actually gags. Not exaggerating. He won't even eat soggy hard food. He is extremely picky. So we have him on Royal canin gastrointestinal fiber response dry food. Because after a year he had become underweight slightly and could tell he was not feeling good. After a few months he seems so much better. Occasionally has a bad poop and won't eat but a little but he gets through it thanks to his daily lactulose. So the hard food works. But it's incredibly hard to get it where I live. Petco, petland, PetSmart in store and online are always sold out. My vet can't get it but once in a blue moon. I'm looking for alternatives. Has to be dry food sadly. I was feeding him blue buffalo sensitive stomach but I wasn't for sure about it. Any ideas? I also live in a multi cat household. Would love to find something everyone could enjoy so I don't have to lock the special needs cat up. I know it's a stretch but my vet isn't much help on this. And I only have the one vet near me. Thanks!
