I adopted a cat today. She’s a 5 year old calico and according to the place I got her from she had been a house cat all her life until her previous family got rid of her before moving. She’s already used to humans and I could tell cause she’ll let me touch her. My biggest issue right now is how I can get her to adjust to her new home and to me in the best way possible. She was very comfortable in a small box I put her in with a towel as a cushion but as I’m writing this she’s hiding under my bed letting out the occasional soft meow. She already ate and surprisingly out of my hand which was a big bonus. I’m just worried that there’s something I’m missing or something I could be doing better to help her feel more comfortable.
