Hello, I live in a mumbai apartment. I got a 2 month old pup whom i house trained to do his pee/poo on a designated tray onto which he obediently does to this day.
But now since my pup is a 4 month old I want him to go about his business outdoors, and to add that to his habit I have begun taking him downstairs on a set routine. (After a nap, an hour after meal, etc.)
The problem is that he will sniff around and play outside but he will hold his pee/poo till he's back home and does it on the tray. Now I know that he's comfortable and finds it 100% okay to relieve himself on his designated spot because it has the smell and the ease but it can't go on forever.
I've tried several methods like taking some of his pee in a syringe and squirting it on a spot outdoors where I want him to eliminate but that ain't helping at all, not even verbal cues.
My last option so far is one of those attractant sprays that they claim to have your pet to poo/pee once they smell it. But I'm a bit sceptical about it, since it's costly and I'm not sure if that should work on my pup or no.
Advice or tips would be appreciated.
