Is it mean to lock my kitten in the bathroom at night?

I have an 8 year old rabbit who is my baby and if I’m being honest has been semi neglected since I rescued a 3 week old kitten at the start of May. I previously lived with roommates, one of which had evil cats so I couldn’t leave my door open at night. I now live back with my parents (thanks covid (but also I’m back at school full time)) and my now 5 month old kitten has a whole house that she roams, supervised of course because she breaks things. She was originally fine with my bunny but grew to start chasing him and now he absolutely hates her and she terrorizes him. I know she loves him and she’s just trying to play because she does this with her littermates, but she is a tortie and has too much energy to be with my and my bunny at night. I constantly have to stop her from going in his area and drinking his water and chasing him when she has a burst of energy. During the day she’s fine with him and hardly bothers him but at night I can’t sleep with her in my room. I’ve been putting her in my bathroom at night but she cries so much and it’s heartbreaking because she’s just wanting to cuddle and be with me (she does have separation anxiety). I don’t want her to feel scared or like she can’t come in here and be with me but it’s gotten to the point where my bunnies health is at risk because she stresses him out too much and I don’t want to break the bond I have with my bunny. I have her litter box, toys, water, food and blankets/bed for her all in my bathroom and my mom lets her out in the morning when she wakes up. Is it sad and mean to do this?

TLDR; my cat terrorizes my bunny and I lock her out of my room at night so that my bunny and myself can sleep peacefully. She cries for me to let her in. Is this mean?
