Back story - my SO has a pet dog which is of 2+ yrs. After our marriage(6 months back) she moved to USA to stay with me(I have been here for a long time) because of which she has to leave the dog back home. Because of some family reasons, there is no one to take care. So in less than 2 days, the dog will be given to a dog care center. And dog will be transferred to a different place, where we will never be able to find out and can't know ever how the dog is.
Here my wife is really sad and by looking at her I am worried how she gonna be later. She is in a situation that she don't get what she likes etc and feeling like her kid is going away. I havent seen her before like that and I am really worried.
She had asked me if we can get the dog from back here home to USA (here). I was little shocked and not sure how to take the responsibility. I am not scared or negitive abt pets, but I never own a pet and we have just started our new life and taking such responsibility (as it's like a kid) will be too much to handle and we like traveling and in that situations how to handle I am not sure.. There are many more things running in my mind.
You all being pet lovers, what do you recommend me to do? Based on your experienced recommendations I believe I will be able to take a decision.
Unfortunately I have very less time to take a decision.
