About a month ago, i was on my way home and took the sheltered route due to rain. Right under my flat (Area A) a stray cat was meowing at people walking past it. Just entertained it for awhile and it wanted to get on my lap. Sat down and it rubbed all over my pants and noticed she has a healing scratch wound on her neck. I thought i was a familiar cat from another area and carried her there but turns out it wasnt and as i left it followed me back to Area A. And as i tried to leave Area A for home, she "tried attacking" me but it felt light, like it wasnt meant to harm.
I went to look for her for the next few days and found her own turf. (Area B, she even has a box she sleep in during the day) And have been visiting regularly every week to make sure she is okay and fed while petting her a little.
Thing is, Area A and B are about 1km apart. Every time i carry her out of Area B towards A, she will hiss a little and freeze up a little as i put her down. Im guessing its another cat's turf but i dont understand how she got there.
She keep rubbing against me everytime i meet her but not sure why, she doesnt really want to get on my lap anymore. So im curious as to what were the reasons she did.
She also sometimes hurt me while im playing with her so im not sure if it was intentional or on purpose. (She does this spasm scratching thing with my hands when i rub her sides)
Besides that, her tail is short (seems like an injury) so i cant really tell her mood other than by her ears and her meows (she is very vocal). Like she tends to meow lightly when i pet her bum area while she is sitting (not loafing). So im not sure if she doesnt like it or she does.
I guess i want to get to know her better and understand if im just a nuisance or if im just the food delivery person for her. And also if there are ways to strengthen our bond if there is any.
