My dog started dealing with itchiness and hotspots about 2 months ago. We called all the vets in our area and all of them said they weren’t taking new patients due to Covid I don’t know why but that’s just what they told me so I was just like okay I’ll try to find something I can get over the counter so We got Veterinary Formula Clinical Care hot spot and itch relief and it worked Great for him but last night he started scratching at his head and I woke up this morning he had a decent size bloody spot on his head. He scratched so much he started bleeding. Since it’s on his head I know I could probably get him a cone so he doesn’t scratch at it until it heals but I almost feel like I would be making him suffer if I didn’t get him something that would help relieve some of the itchiness. But since it’s also bleeding I don’t want to put something on it or give him something and risk the possibility of making it worse. I’ll probably call some of the vets in my area but I don’t know if I’ll get many answers from them. So what would any of you suggest I do? Does someone have any recommendations?
