I have an indoor kitten and have so much anxiety that I'm not fulfilling her desire to hunt. I have 6 different kinds of wand toys but she gets very easily bored from them. At the beginning they are super fun for her and and she really chases after them but after 2 days of playing with the new wand, they bore her and she just grooms herself while I do all kinds of movements to try to get her to play haha.
Even if I rotate the wands, she still gets bored! The only one she seems to enjoy is a wand which has a feather on a wire. I can hide the feather beween the crevice of my couch and cushions or quickly poke it under the carpet. The other wands have a strings attached and are a bit more challenging to "hide". She's only interested in a toy once she can't see it anymore.
So if any of you have a similar cat and advise on good cat toys I would be very happy to hear about it! I also tried "da bird" but again she's only interested in it if I quickly kick it under the couch so she can no longer actively seee it. I love my kitten (Her name is Pike from critical role!) so much and I want her to have an engaging play session.
