How long would a shampoo allergy take for a dog to show symptoms?

A few weeks ago I took my dog to a local groomer who works out of her house. My dog had been to her twice before with no issue.

The following day, I took her to a family BBQ at my mom's house. The next morning (24hrs after the BBQ, 48hrs after the grooming appointment) her eyes were not opening properly. She was flinching and her pupils weren't expanding properly, it looked really weird, so I rushed her to pet emergency and they had no idea what was going on. $1k in tests later nothing was wrong with her bloodwork and they sent me home with eye drops and whatnot. Within a day, she was better, thank God! It was a really bizarre experience.

My grandmother had brought along some anti bug candles to the BBQ so my assumption is that the fumes in the air irritated her respiratory system (the vet had suggested someone may have sprayed pesticides in grass that she sniffed which is what made me immediately think of the anti bug candles), but I was wondering how likely it would be that she might have had an allergic reaction to the shampoo that the groomer used?

Could it take a full 48hrs for symptoms like that to appear? Or would those symptoms appear much sooner?

I don't want to spend money on another vet appt JUST to ask this question (especially after all the $ I dropped already haha), so I was hoping someone here might know or have input. The reason I ask is that she has another appointment with the groomer - she did have no issue the first 2 times but somehow I keep going back to it in my mind and worrying "what if it was the shampoo that caused it". I don't know if it's an unfounded concern though.

Is it unlikely to take that long for symptoms to manifest? If it had been the shampoo, I'm assuming she probably would have shown symptoms much sooner than 2 days later, right?
