Recently my mother got my cousin (9F) a new kitten. My cousin has been asking for a kitten for years and has even helped take care of my dad's 9 year old cat when she visits. Prior to getting her a kitten my mom came to me to for advice on how to proceed. We made sure her parent was okay with it, went over all the responsibilities and helped pick out the sweetest little guy. Well cousin called me today (3 days of having him) to say she doesn't want him anymore. Apparently he follows her around too often (this is the main complaint, the kitten is a bit clingy) she doesn't like getting up early (before school) to feed him, clean his litter box etc., she knew of all these responsibilities before hand. I gave her a week to think it over, and if she doesn't want him I'll take him of course which makes me a cat mom of 3 (slowly turning into a true cat lady lol). I'd love to have him here but I wanted to know if there is anything I can do or explain to her that would help in this situation. What do you guys think?
