Roommate's cat is driving me nuts

The thing wont' stop meowing and I'm not even giving him any attention. Wakes me up or just generally disruptive.

Didn't mind TOO much but now it's just a constant thing. What can I do w/o being rude/mean to it to just have it leave me alone in general?
