Heya all! As the title says, I would like to get a pet that i can put on/next to my desk
I have been looking into all kinds of small animals that I could have as a buddy keeping me company!
We've looked into all kinds of pets : rats, ferrets, skinks, snakes, betta fishes, you name it! lots of pets i'd like to have but sadly can't due to a few reasons.
These reasons being :
- I live in a "dorm" (or rather just big house that got rented as such)
- Space is limited, so no big terrariums (even though i'd love to have one)
- I'm a complete beginner when it comes to reptiles,fish and birds
- I live a pretty sedentary life, I work on the computer most of the time (ofcourse I go for a walk atleast once a day!)
i've looked into cats and dogs as well, but sadly i'm allergic to cats and we already have a dog here :(
(the dog is a sweet bun, wouldn't hurt a fly, trust me, we have a little russkiy toy at home and she's scared of it)
I seem to be less allergic to cats than i used to be, judging from when I last visited my aunt and she has these lovely two cats, and it took about a day and a half before I actually got an allergic reaction from them and it was quite minor too.
Cost isn't an immediate issue, but i'd prefer to keep it to an affordable level.
I can provide more specific information if needed.
But anyways, all information regarding small pets and their habitats are welcome!
