My dog was hospitalized and is back home, and I’m still worried.

I will try to keep this concise.

My dog stopped eating and got lethargic and looked depressed; would keep his head low and freeze. On the second visit to my doctor we noticed that his lymph nodes where swollen.

They kept him overnight for an antibiotic treatment which helped break the fever. He is still not eating well. Except for the treats he likes.

First I heard that it might be a cyst or abscess. On release they said they could not drain it and no mention of puss. I heard them say ‘mass’ when talking to insurance.

I’m waiting for results of the fine needle aspiration. The ‘mass’ has gotten bigger. Doc says its important to finish a separate antibiotic and anti inflammation treatment he was on before the overnight stay. Said that it can get bigger before healing. And at this point Im hoping this is how it turns out.

Lymphoma is of course a possibility. How bad is it though? Can it not be that? If it is , can it be benign? Reading up on it in google search was not reassuring
