Old cat doesnt like new kitten

Ok so we've had our cat Charlie for 20 years and she was the only pet for about 13 of those until we got a dog, but the dog stays outside so she doesnt really care unless the dog bothers her at the window. we recently got a 6-7 week old kitten from my grandmother's cat and brought him home. we set up a safe room for him and he sleeps, eats and does his business there. after a week or two we started letting him roam while Charlie isnt in. he's been vaccinated now and we're trying to introduce the two so they can live together but Charlie knew something was up when she heard noises from the kitten's room and when we tried introducing them through the screen door (charlie outside kitten in) she hisses, which i've heard is normal but today she did a really loud and aggressive meow which i've never heard before. Charlie is a rescue cat who was living in the streets in the city when we got her, she's usually moderately grumpy but she is never aggressive unless she is antagonised. TLDR: my 20 year old rescue cat is aggressive towards my 7 week old kitten, how can i get her to accept the kitten?
