I’ve made a deal with my fiancé that we will have only three pets at one time, unless a special case. Both pets seem to be open to a friend of their species. Our dog is extremely people oriented and almost couldn’t care less when there’s another dog around, however, will also play happily occasionally. He also struggles with separation anxiety. My cat is very independent and gets plenty of attention but I believe would be happy with another cat. So what should I do? What species is better off with a friend? (Both are male and neutered).
