We got a 9 month puppy 2 months ago, and he was thankfully mostly potty trained. We had no difficulties with him, except changing his diet to a healthier one and training him to be more gentle when interacting with people; aside from the overly-excited peeing once in a blue moon.
Last weekend, he started having some issues with urinating; peeing on his bed or on the floor while standing. We thought it was behavioral due to his age being adolescent, but when we were at a pet store with him, he had two huge accidents, leading us to believe it was medical (he didn't seem to be struggling to urinate and he would be standing, seeming surprised). The vet said his urine and blood tests came back crystal clear and healthy and started a guessing game. The medical issues mentioned were typically rare occurrences in younger female dogs, where the problem would have shown itself more often.
His symptoms cleared up after urinating like multiple bladders full and he was fine during the week, no accidents. This past Sunday, he was sleeping on the bed and he wet himself, then promptly peed on the floor while standing when we were cleaning, then again in his crate an obscene amount of urine. He seems to only have this issue on the weekend and I wanted to blame the water at the dog park, but he goes during the week as well. We're considering taking him and the records (once we get them) to a vet I trust more, but nothing showed in the tests he had.
