I brought a new cat in and she's been yowling and crying all night after I go to bed. She's been to the vet, she seems to be in good physical condition and this just started once she came here. I know she's really stressed and it takes a few weeks to get a cat settled, and that's probably the reason. But the problem is it means I am getting maybe 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night, and I don't think I can do that safely for a couple of weeks. I still have to go to work and function and all that. I'm picking up some feliway, but is there anything else I can do to discourage this, or failing that any way to block or cover the sound? I've never found that drugstore earplugs did anything other than slightly muffle sounds.
