My dog ate 2 large slices of chocolate cake that we left on the counter and my parents refuse to do anything about it. For context im 15 and i dont have a job or a car otherwise ill bring them to the vet myself. I feel so helpless and im scared for my dog (Copper) my mom keeps saying she will be fine but everything ive read is saying to take her to the vet, i just want to make sure! We arent exactly wealthy so i understand that money is a issue, but i dont understand how they can just sit around knowing our dog just ate something poisonous to them! Is there anything i can do? Because my parents dont want to do anything about it.
