I just want to share this... and none of my pets are afraid of thunder. So I have a thunderstorm nearby with a LOT of lightning, and I tend to worry a bit. My cat (Pixie, a bengal) is an outdoor cat, so I was in a panic trying to get her back inside (i will not be discussing indoor/outdoor cat stuff with anyone!!) . Fortunately, when I call for her she comes almost immediately. I pick her up and bring her inside. That’s one less thing to worry about. Pixie would probably be fine anyway, but it makes me feel better when she’s inside during weather like this. Then next thing I know my whole family is outside and my younger brother is recording on the street outside... in the lightning. I get nervous but there’s nothing I can do, so I went inside. Perfect time for my dog (Jasper, a cavachon) to want to play. Bouncing on my leg trying to get his favorite toy. It was definitely enough to take my mind off everyone being outside. Eventually, while I’m playing with jasper and everyone comes inside. I bet Jasper just wanted to play, but it definitely helped calm me down a bit. I don’t know what I would do without my pets. Tonight I guess is another reminder of how much of an impact my pets have in my life
