So my parents got a new puppy that is now 8 months old. He’s potty trained now and never has any accidents. However, for some reason when I go to visit my parents, their dog often pees or poops on the floor and then goes to hide somewhere because he knows it’s wrong. This only happens when I come over. He always gets excited to see me and loves being held by me, so it’s not like I scare him or anything. Has anyone ever experienced this before? He is neutered if that makes a difference. He is very social and doesn’t like being alone.
The last time I went over he pooped on their couch which is an extremely odd place to go. Another time he peed right next to my dads feet while I was in the same room. Another time he peed by the front door while I was hooking him up on a leash to go outside to go potty.
