I have two cats. One is ten months, and the other is turning two next month. I've had the two year old since he was 7 weeks old, and I adopted the other one this February. After a slow introduction, they became good friends. They play together all day long, and have even been caught grooming each other.
I'd love to see them living happily together for the rest of their lives, but I've heard people say cats change after turning two, and become more territorial. Some said their cats stop being friends, and others said they starting fighting for territory. A few even had to be rehomed due to incessant fighting.
