My cat Fluff sits next to his water bowl and methodically splashes all the water out of it when he's bored. Then if we don't notice and refill it, both of our cats knock over every cup in the house looking for water.
Things we've tried:
- Multiple water bowls - Fluff splashes the water out of all of them.
- Water bowls inside a larger container - Fluff will splash the water into the larger container, but eventually the larger container becomes flooded.
- If the big container has low walls, then Fluff will splash the water out onto the floor.
- If the big container has high walls, the cats have to climb inside to drink, and Fluff's brother really hates getting his feet wet.
- One of those "automatic refill" water bowls where there's a tank on top - Fluff really likes playing with those
I was thinking about getting a dish designed for dogs who splash everywhere while drinking, but I'm not sure how those would work or if it would help.
Does anyone have ideas that we haven't tried?
