Moving from Canada(BC) to USA (MA), want to take cats, any advice?

Hi,

As the title says, I'm moving to the states and am planning on taking my cats from Vancouver to Boston. I was wondering if anyone has experience doing something similar and what I should consider.

I took my cats to the vet and got their rabies boosters, and a certificate of rabies signed by the vet. Is that enough? Will I need more, do they even check? I checked the website and it says health certificate for Massachusetts specifically, but when I asked my vet for one they just gave me the rabies paper, and other states seem to not require even that.

There is no direct flight, so I might be entering from Colorado, or Seattle, or something else first.

Also I'd like to bring them with me in the cabin, does anyone have any experience with maybe a sedation spray?
