Cat bed with scratching material that doesn't make a mess?

Not sure if this is the right place but my cats LOVE these cat scratch beds but they make SUCH a mess. We have white floors so the little pieces they scratch end up in their paws and all over the house. Vacuuming daily doesn't even help.

I know the answer is a cat scratch post, but, is there anything they can use while laying 'in' it?
