I am at my wits end with our 6 yr old cat’s behavior. She is always in the kitchen, on the counters, licking the stove top, licking the dishes in the sink, opening cabinets to get the butter...and now she’s getting on top of the fridge to try and open our chips and baked goods! This all started about 6-9 months ago, before that she never ate human food.
After trying spanking, spraying water, and eventually buying a 6 ft tall room divider to block the kitchen entry (which she has figured out how to scale) we resigned to just keeping the kitchen clean and wiping down surfaces every night. But now she’s escalating by getting into literally everything— doesn’t matter if it’s sealed or in a cabinet. This is ridiculous. Please, any advice?? What can we do? TIA.
