So my cat has always been pretty chill - little bit of an asshole and a prolific hunter but otherwise a sound little guy. Well in the past month his behaviour has been AWFUL. He's started refusing to eat his food, even if it's top brand. I know there's nothing wrong with him because he'll quite happily try to greed whatever I'm eating and he always tries to eat leftovers on plates. He's also started ripping up the carpets. It first started because he wanted to wake me up in the middle of the night to feed him/let him out but now it's every night. Sometimes he does it during the day as well, when he knows I'm incapacitated and can't get to him to make him stop (when I'm in the bath or something). The carpets are absolutely destroyed and he won't stop no matter what I do. He's started to claw the sofa up as well and sometimes he rips up papers that I've left lying about. I don't know what to do. He's an outdoor cat so I don't think it's excess energy. I rent the place I live in and he's slowly destroying it to the point where I won't get my deposit back when I move out. I love him but my god ATM I want to punch him right in his furry little face.
What should I do?
