I've been considering for a long time getting one of those two animals, I researched a lot about them (how the water cycle works, minimun and ideal tank size for both of them, diet, enclosure, etc) My question is, personally for people who owned both, what'd you find the most rewarding? I think that building a planted betta tank of around 40lts would be fun, plus I love their looks. But there's a lot of hamsters up for adoption and it makes me kind of sad, what should I go for? it's not like I'm considering a hamster as an option just out of pity, I'm interested in them too! but idk I know they both need maintenance, but which one'd you consider easier? and the most interesting?
disclaimer: I'm just planning for the future while I'm locked in my house lol, when the covid-19 situation calms down I'll start preparing the enclosure and buying what's needed! I want to be thoughtful about my decision so yeah
