I've been visiting a cat during my daily walks and this morning it turns out that she had given birth! I called the nearby animal shelter and they said that I could foster them for about a month before sending them to the animal shelter (they explained that that's when they would be able to have space in the shelter).
I would be keeping them in my bedroom because I feel like it's way too hard to kitten-proof a whole house. Food, litter, and vet care would all be covered by the shelter. If I decide to not foster them, they would go to another foster home.
I've fostered before but it was only an adult cat. I'm not really sure what to expect with 4 kittens thrown into the mix especially since I've never had kittens... I want to make sure that I'm fully prepared with expectations going into this if I do take up the opportunity. Any insight would be super welcome!
