One of my dad's mates has two cats, and recently got a third, a four-year-old female Bengal. The first two cats didn't get along with the new arrival, so he offered her to dad. He brought her home, and has tried to help her settle in. I've agreed to try for a few weeks, to see if it's a happy addition to the family, but I'm worried that it won't work out.
My issue is that I've always been a bit more partial to dogs. My family has had two dogs in the past, so I'm a bit more experienced with them. Yeah, if a cat comes to me, I'll play with it, but having one full time... it might be a bit much for me. I should add, I have Autism, and have dealt with loneliness in the past. Having a dog seems to be a bit more in-line with that.
So to be honest, I'm unsure about what to do.
