We adopted two cats at the same time over two years ago. One was a kitten and one was an adult, both females. Our kitten has no issues, however the adult has a very gross habit of peeing on things. She was fine for the first six months, then she peed on our bed. We started keeping our bedroom door closed and that was that. In our next house we decided to give it another try, but within a week she did it again. Kept the door closed, problem solved again. Fast forward to six months ago when we moved into our (hopefully) forever home and she has peed on more things than I can count: beds, a cat bed, any clothes on the floor, laundry baskets, etc. This morning I woke up to a puddle on the bare floor! She has never peed on our couches or chairs for some reason.
We used to have one litter box but recently bought another to see if that was the issue and it has just made her pee even more. She eats and drinks regularly, plays and loves attention. I’m at a loss of what to do. I’ll be making a vet appointment for her, but wanted to know if Reddit had any solutions in the mean time!
Tl;dr Kitty goes potty wherever she pleases and idk what to do
