I recently visited a friends house and met their elderly neighbor and their outside dog. This dog was the SKINNIEST skin and bones I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen some bad situations. He is an old brown lab, who also looks like he has some eye issues which is why I added an eye rinse in there. I have worked at shelters and rescues in the past, and immediately after seeing him I started crying and was about to secretly call animal control or take him myself. But then when I asked, I was informed and shown his feeding area that was filled with food and water. She then explained she thinks he has a parasite and bought him high calorie dog mix in but ran out. She is not doing so hot herself and lives in the middle of nowhere, cannot drive well, and is struggling financially.
I called a few animal rescues/shelters in the area to see if there was anyway they would donate some supplements but they said they were not able to.
So what I’m asking is if anyone could help me purchase some of these items off Amazon to send over to her. I would gladly do it myself but I am barely getting by right now with bills past due. But I cannot let this dog continue to live like that, so I’m reaching out for help.
I tried to find the cheapest stuff and the bare minimum that would last her the longest, but truly he could use more, including high calorie dog food, if anyone’s willing to suggest or get her additional supplements for him I would be incredibly grateful.
