As the title says, I have a 2 year old female husky who has been pooping in the house. She doesn’t alert me when she needs to go to the bathroom and when I’m in another room not watching her, she promptly poops. For example, I just went to the bathroom and was in there for 5 minutes and within that time she had pooped. No barking, whining, coming to the door, coming to me. I just smelled it and knew it was her.
I wish it was because I was neglecting taking the dogs out because then Id know the solution, but it’s not. I have 2 huskies, her and her brother. Her brother barks and whines when he needs to go and I recognize the sign and take them out to our yard. That’s what I did tonight. He pooped and she drank water, peed and walked around and then they both came back to the door to be let in. I let them stay out as long as they want and stand out there with them and they signal to be let back inside by coming and sitting at my feet. Well, that’s what they did and then 2 minutes after we went inside, she poops on my kitchen floor.
It’s seriously driving me crazy. I don’t know what to do or how to get her to signal me. She also only poops in the house when I’m not watching her, so I don’t even know what her signal is! And it’s just not possible for me to be there with her every second of the day when I’m at home (I’m 7 months pregnant and I need to pee...a lot).
I’d love some advice!
