I'm not sure if she's jealous, because she doesn't do that on nights he doesn't stay here, I always think maybe she just wants attention, so I wake up enough to give her some attention hoping she'll just lay next to me and go to sleep. But she usually doesn't do that, and it is becoming an issue, my boyfriend works 12hr overnight shifts, and is moving in with me in a couple months. Her crying wakes him up almost every morning around 7:30-8am. I just don't know what to do about it to make sure he gets appropriate sleep, he works in a dangerous environment so rest is very important.
I don't want to start having to close her out of my room at night, she's my baby and when he's not here she sleeps on my pillow right next to my head. But when he's here she won't, she'll maybe sleep at the foot of the bed for a little while, she's also found a spot in the closet where she's comfy (not just when he's here, she goes in and out of there all the time).
Does anyone have experience with this? A pet not adapting to SO staying the night? He's always been very friendly to her, he loves cats, she's timid, she'll let him pet her sometimes but she doesn't really go up to him.
