After a hike through the woods a few hours ago, we noticed our 6-month-old pup got a couple of ticks. One above his paw and the other one on his lower eyelid. We tried removing them with tweezers, pulling for the first one, and for the other one we twisted the tick, but some parts stayed in his skin both times. We are unsure if we should leave the pieces in, we tried to get them out but they just won't budge and our pup is frantically moving and twitching. He already had a medical situation just last week (he had really bad diarrhea, probably due to a parasite) which made him unable to drink his bug/tick repellant pill, but we still gave it to him because we got scared (technically, we gave it to him on the day he finished his therapy). We are really concerned. If anyone knows what we should do, please tell us.
