Hi All,
About a month ago we took out cat to the vet because she was puking often. She's always had a sensitive stomach but it was getting to nearly every day.
They did the usual blood work, steroid shots, etc. and everything came back that she's healthy on paper. They did say that it's a possibility she has stomach cancer with all of the puking and everything (she's 14).
After that first vet visits she just flat out stopped eating for a couple days and was getting very lethargic, hiding away from us, etc.
I called the vet back and they told us to try this medicine you put in their ears called Mirataz.
That actually worked well and she slowly become her old self again. Eating, playful, social, etc. We did have to change her cat food though between wet, this stuff that's soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside, and soft food. She still won't eat her original treats or anything that's hard.
The prescription was only for 14 days which ended about 5 days ago.
Recently, we noticed she was, again, losing weight and this morning she won't touch her treats and is puking often again.
I'm thinking the next course of action is to get a second opinion from another vet? Just looking for advice.
