I have a spitz and we are really attached, were at least. I always give him baths at home because he gets nervous around new people and also because I feel its safer, but today we didn't have time and my mom wanted to send him to a petshop. I didn't like the idea but I went with her so someone would be holding the dog while she drives.
When we picked him up they had shaved him almost completely, we didn't ask for him to be shaved as from what I've searched its bad for this specific breed!! But the damage had already been done. We brought him home and he's so sad.
We tried not to stress him but he spent the whole day hiding and growling when we tried picking him up ( he loves to sleep on our laps or on the sofa while we watch tv). He seems particularly mad at me since I was the one who held him in the car on the way.
How do I gain his trust back? Please help he's my best friend :(
