So my boyfriend and I have these friends that have a cat, their cat is extremely fat. When they adopted him, he was already over weight, since then he’s literally doubled in size. It’s straight animal abuse and I don’t know what to do. They think it’s so cute and my boyfriend and I both have tried to send hints like oh is he on a diet and so on. I feel terrible that I can’t do anything at this point other than call animal control. But they are our friends. The cat literally tried to jump onto the bed then stopped, looked at me with sad eyes and laid on the floor. He knew he couldn’t get up. My heart shattered. Please help. Any advice on how to deal with this the best way possible would be great. 🥺
