My 12yr old dog had a seizure for the first time, but it did seem like a mild one. Rushed her to the vet and she gave a bunch of injections and gave us some sort of medicine we had to put up her butt if she started panicking, so she slept for about 3 hours then she woke up and started whimpering then crying and getting worse so we gave her the medication, didn’t work.
She started barking non stop continuously and would not stop no matter what we done, it was so bad the neighbours knocked on the door at 4 in the morning because they thought something was wrong and she was so loud, she also seemed a bit delirious and was looking up in the air side to side barking at one point she starts trying to pull her nail out but that was only once and never done it again, I tried giving her a treat to stop the barking and she took it then she started sniffing all over the place deliriously like she couldn’t find the treat or something, she then went back to non stop barking, she also couldn’t stand up on her own or walk without her legs falling, it was such a frightening horrible thing to experience.
So rushed her to the vet and she barked the entire car ride there, now she’s staying overnight and they have her sedated.
The day before she was her normal self, she’s been eating and drinking fine. The only other thing is that she’s been begging a lot more these past months to the point as if she hasn’t been fed and she will tier herself out begging.
I can’t stop worrying and crying that something awful is wrong with her.
