We have a female doberman, she's been with us for about a year now and is 6 years old. She has seperation anxiety. However, she knows when it's night and fortunately has never been a night barker. She gets nervous, cries and barks when left alone during the day, it's slowly getting better as she used to bark a lot more. But never during the night. Not once.
This changed 3 nights ago when we got a 6 month old male Yorkshire Terrier. Our Doberman is now suddenly barking at night, every night, whilst the pup is the most perfect angel ever and is just trying to sleep.
It's not like the Doberman isn't used to company. We used to have another male Yorkshire Terrier who passed away about 3 months ago. He was the oldest before then so she was added in to the family. So we're a big confused as to why she's suddenly so needy at night. Any thoughts?
