I'm currently in a certain situation where I am very angry and I am trying my very best to train my 2, four month old kittens from peeing all over my house.
I go to university for most of the day... this means that I leave roughly around 7am and come back home at around 11pm. I leave them with enough food and water to last for the entire day and when I come back I refill their dishes to make sure that they are healthy and well-fed and I try to play with them as much as possible when I'm available from school work.
The big problem is, is that they are peeing on my mattress and most recently my bean-bag chair. If I'm trying to count all the times they have peed, it would be roughly about 6 times. I have a litter box that's clean almost every single day and that's easily accessible for them so I don't understand why they are peeing on my mattress when they have a litter box as easily available at any point in time.
It all started last week when my girlfriend was over at my house, she accidentally wet my bed, not a big deal and I cleaned it up. Then the next day the kittens were on the bed and they peed all over. I understand that they will pee on my bed bc they will smell the urine that was already there. But I have applied lots of chemicals and sprays dedicated to getting rid of the odor but to no avail .. they keep peeing there and everywhere else.
I'm wondering if there is anything I can do for these kittens bc i really do love them but i can't seem to break their habit of peeing on my stuff.
Ps. Not sure if this is relevant but I do apologize for my spelling or use of words, I am a little tipsy but I'm currently putting the kittens in the litter box and trying to make them realise that the litterbox is where they need to pee!
